Definitions of functions, items, terms, and features in RVsitebuilder 7.

3-dot menu

The vertical 3 small dots appear next to the page name on Right Menu and Page Setting. It's the quick access to page options; set as home, set as draft, rename, SEO, and etc.

A

Admin, Administrator

The utimate permission role for website member. This role holds all permissions to manage website, can add, delete, and define every website member a role. Usually the first person, you, who started create this website will have this role.

Admin Interface

The content editor that can only be accessed by Admin to edit website content, and the management area to manage website users, websites, and website roles.

Admin Top Bar

The very top most black bar menus on the right hand on content editor, works for access Apps management.

Apply

The functional button you will see in setting panels, it will work to apply what you have set to content area, but it does NOT SAVE that you will hvae to click Save button to save them.

Apps

The applications that are enabled and disabled on your website.

Apps Launcher

The Apps menu on Admin Top Menu to launch and navigate to all applications that are enabled on your website.

Apps Manage

The application center to see all applications currently enabled and disabled on your website. You can check their version and update them from here.

Apps Name

The name of package which will consist of Vendor Name and Project Name separated by slash (/)such as;

  • rvsitebuilder/wysiwyg

B

Backend Role

The more permission 2 users, Administrator and Executive, that are accessible website admin area to edit content, update CMS and apps version, install and uninstall Apps.

Block

The sub content area inside Section that you can edit separetedly even though they're inside the same Section.

Block Options

The grey options that will be appeared at the right top of the current block you're working with. We use these options when we want to move block (drag and drop), delete, duplicate, and edit section design such as background image, color, and animation.

Block Properties

The properties setting for your block display; background, shadow, border. (แก้ไขจาก Box เป็น Border)

Brand

The brand of your company or your business to show on your website top menu, banner, and footer.

Center Menu

The center menu on the top of content editor contains of most frequestly used tools while you're editing your content such as Insert Tool.

Content editor

The first place of every time you logging in to edit website. It's the place to edit website content, change template design, and setting systems for your website.

Disabled apps

The applications that are already installed but not enabled to use on your website yet.

E

Editable area

The most of area you'd be at when you edit your website, means every area that you can directly add, edit, insert content on it. This area will be different from Widget area whcih we will later see what it means.

Enabled apps

The applications that are currently enabled and using on your website.

Executive

The high permission role second to Administrator. This role holds exclusive permission to access to website admin area to edit website content, manage installed applications, mostly for website information but cannot manage users and roles. This role is mainly used when you want more website content editors aside from you.

Floating Side Menus

The penny-sized floating menus on left hand when you're at Design menu (7 green floating menus) and Content menu (4 blue floating menu).

Frontend Role

The low permisison 2 users, User and VIP, that are accessible website user area like your website, member area, member only page.

Hide and Show Admin Top Bar

The vertical left angle blacket (︿) under view modes. It's action is to hide or show the Admin Top Bar.

I

Insert Toolbar

A bar to insert additional needs on your content. It's always right on the top of the content editor promptly to be used.

Left Menu

The left menus lie on the top left of content editor. It's the main menu to switch what you're going to edit the main parts of your website such as templae, design, content, and or email.

My Site

Your real website to be seen by everyone.

P

Page

The general website content area separated by page name. It can be either display on menu or not.

Panel

The setup tool that will automatically be activated by mouse-clicked on its display area such as content area that will have Text setup panel pops up once you place mouse on any of content area.

Permission

The privilege to set for users with 2 high permission levels;

  • All: for all inclusive accessibiity to content editor, apps mamangement, and member management.

  • View Admin: for high accessibility to view member lists, edit content, manage apps.

Post

The content area for Blog that you can add on your website. Once added, it will be appeared under Blog menu and fuctionally works as Blog post.

Project Name

The name of a feature or service such as;

  • wysiwyg

Right Menu

The menu on the right hand under the Admin Top Bar. It's mostly for current page configuration and to switch to other pages.

Role

The permission levels of users of your website; Administrator, Excutive, User, and VIP.

Section

The main parts of your website to insert and control how the content will display. Section can contain whether only text, text and image, table, images, and content blocks.

Section Options

The light blue options that will be appeared at the right of the current section you're working with. We use these options when we want to move section (drag and drop), delete, duplicate, and edit section design such as background image and color.

Section Properties

The properties setting for your section display; background, shadow, border.

Section Selector

The always-available place on the left hand when you're editing your website. It's there for you to add more sections for content.

Sidebar

One of website design to show left or/and right content bar(s) together with your website main content area. Sidebar will be appeared on every page of your website once added. It can eiter display the same attention-needed content on every page or special content in some specific page.

Site Config

The easy advanced configuration setting for your website such as CSS/JS, Meta, SEO, Visibility, Log, and etc. for more functional and effective website. NO WORRIES if you don't feel familiar with these words, we have easy guide on every part of it.

System page

A type of pages which it's mostly for setting up Register and Login pages on your website. It will work to allow users to login, and store them in admin area for membership purpose.

Toolbar

Bars that contain nescessary tools that will always be ready to use while you're editing your website. It can be opened by directly clicking on each Toolbar.

U

User

Everyone who knows and opens your website, the first time visitor, the fans of your website, the investigators, the registered members, the website admins.

User Interface

All areas on your website that users will see, My Site, Login page, Register page, and User dashboard page. The My Site will be Public Interface, while User dashboard will be Member Interface.

V

Vendor Name

The name of company or developer who develops the package such as;

  • rvsitebuilder
View modes

The content editor area that you can switch view of devices to see how your website will be while editing it.

Visibility

The visibility control of your pages of how you aim particular page to be seen by whether public (all users), website member (regitered users), or website admin.

W

Website Navigation

The menu bar on your website to let everyone navigates to pages.

Widget

The functional content area that's not only showing content but does some action when user communicaites with it, such as Online Form, Blog, Facebook comments, etc. It's not a direct edit area, but with a setting panel to set its function and display. Let's say it's not free place to insert, but a convenient tool.

WYSIWYS

What You See Is What You Get, the content editor which is sometimes called by development team or website designers.
